Bible Study Resources

This page contains online Bible study resources that we’ve found to be sound and helpful.

Precept Austin - Although not every New Testament book or letter is fully covered, but for the ones that are, the compiler has put together a variety of solid commentary from scholars and teachers like Kenneth Wuest, John MacArthur, John Piper and many more as well as links to many commentaries.

Bible Gateway - Many versions of the Bible fully searchable with many options for isolating search terms.  This is a great tool for getting a broad view of passages on any subject.  Other study helps as well.

Online Bible Study Tools - Also contains a searchable database of many Bible versions, but has great value as a source for other tools including concordances and commentaries.  One of the best commentaries on this sight is John Gill’s.  Gill was a Puritan and a great Hebrew scholar who pastored New Park Street Tabernacle a century before Spurgeon preached there.

Theopedia - An encyclopedia of Christian theology and biblical terms.  Very helpful to those who desire to deepen their understanding of Bible truth.

Blue Letter Bible - This is another Bible search site.  It has several versions, but what makes this particular tool so useful is that you can turn on Strong’s Concordance for any passage you find.  This gives you the ability to find, not only the English words in any passage, but the Hebrew and Greek words from which the English is translated.

Greek Interlinear New Testament - Go to the passage you’re interested in and find the Greek words from which your English version is translated.
