The object of Paris Bible Church is the salvation of souls, the edification of Christians through the teaching of God’s Word, the worldwide proclamation of God’s saving grace expressed in the shed blood and finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ on Calvary, the promotion of Godly worship, the defense of “The Faith Once Delivered,” and cooperation with Christian activity functioning in harmony with God’s Holy Word – the Bible- until He comes.
Paris Bible Church has served the people of Northeast Texas for more than 140 years. We share the Gospel of Christ and the Christian doctrine faithfully with the community, and we teach the truths of scripture with the purpose of helping Christians grow in understanding and in grace. One of the unique features of PBC is that we usually eat together every Sunday except the last one of the month. We do that so that we have time to share a rich fellowship when we have time with each other not often allowed by busy schedules. The food is excellent and the Christian friendships we develop are rewarding.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and the final authority for faith and practice. Our teaching is expository, working verse-by-verse through books of Scripture.
We hold to historic, Reformed theology and the great doctrines recovered during the Protestant Reformation, including salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
We value authentic community where believers encourage one another in faith, bear one another's burdens, and grow together in Christ-likeness.
We proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ - that sinners are saved by grace through faith in His finished work on the cross, apart from human merit or works.
We shepherd God's flock with care, teaching sound doctrine, praying for one another, and visiting those in need of encouragement or comfort.
We gather each Lord's Day to worship God through prayer, song, giving, fellowship, and the exposition of His Word, offering Him the glory He deserves.
